Nov 6th, Bardtown, 2011 Commonwealth Cup Winners – U14G “Beasts”

The OCYSA U14G Beasts took first place in the Statewide Commonwealth Cup held by Kentucky Soccer Association by defeating Spencer County 1 – 0, Tieing Shelby County 2 – 2, Defeating Fern Creek 3 – 0, and then defeating E-Town 2 – 1 in the Championship game.  Goals scored by Jessie Weeden and Jessica Watson with saves by Allison Privette and Tabi Smith.

Fern Creek October 2, 2011 – The OCYSA U14 Beasts girls soccer team took first place in the Jefferson County Youth Soccer Tournament held Oct 1 & 2. The Beasts defeated the OCYSA Hurricanes 4-0, Fern Creek Yellow Jackets 3-2, Spencer County Lightning Bugs 2-0, and Shelby County Chargers 3-0.  The “Beasts” defense was led by goalkeeper Tabitha Smith and sweeper Allison Privette, allowing only two goals the entire weekend. Jessi Weeden led scoring with Renae Steinberger and Anna Weber also contributing goals.

10) Ejections/Discipline
A. Ejections
1. Any player or coach ejected from a match will receive a minimum of a one League match suspension.
2. Any player or coach guilty of fighting with another player or coach, on or off the field will be given a minimum of a two match suspension.
3. Any participant or spectator, ejected, or guilty of assaulting a referee, player, coach/ manager or other participant can be subject to a one-year suspension.
4) All ejections of coaches, parents or spectators during any League game will be fined by the League.  These fines will be in addition to the game suspensions for that ejection.  Fines will be set by the League Director, and start at $250.  Further, any ejected coach, parent, or spectator who refuses to immediately leave the game site will be subject to a $500 fine, and the game may be treated as a forfeit for League standings.  Although these fines can be appealed by the team, the fines will be payed, prior to any further League participation, while being appealed.  If a fine is overturned on appeal, that fine will be returned to the team.  All Clubs and teams agree to this rule when they sign their application

The fine is the parent’s responsibility per OCYSA club rules!

Fern Creek – The OCYSA U12G Field Flyers broke new ground receiving the runner up trophy at the JCYSL Spring 2010 Tournament.  On Saturday 24 April the Field Flyers defeated Fern Creek Lady Cardinals 4 to 0, and then defeated Shelby County Xtreme Chargers, 3 to 0. Pictured from right to left:  August Gravatte,  Karmen Woods,  Alexis Jennings,  Avrie Feeney,  Madeline Rice,  Alison Clark,  Jessica Watson,  Kourtney Rausch,  Alexis Gerges, Meagan Napier,  Katie Chastain,  Tabitha Smith,  Haley Cuzick and coaches Geoff Clark, Eric Watson & Kent Rausch.
