Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve
Located in Goshen on KY1793, just north of the North Oldham Middle School.
By request, OCYSA teams practice on Oldham School soccer fields at Centerfield Elementary, Goshen Elementary, and East Middle School.
Buckner Soccer Complex Rules
- Runners, joggers, walkers, and bicycle riders are always welcome, but must stay off the fields.
- Field usage must be authorized by OCYSA.
- No pets allowed inside the complex.
- Only authorized motorized vehicles are allowed off parking lots.
- No climbing or hanging on soccer goals or nets.
- No practicing golf.
- No alcoholic beverages
- Tobacco use is not allowed near the playing fields or the concession stand.
- No profane or obscene language allowed.
- All litter must be placed in trash receptacles.
- No soliciting without OCYSA approval.
- No trespassing after 10:00pm.
Buckner Soccer Complex Field Usage Policy
The priority use of fields at the Buckner Soccer Complex is soccer game play for OCYSA and Thoroughbred teams as approved by OCYSA. Second priority is recreational usage or game play by Oldham County Middle School, Buckner Elementary, or Buckner Pre-School. If available, other groups may rent the fields for soccer games on a first come, first served basis as approved by OCYSA.
Field usage requests must be made a minimum of seven (7) days in advance by contacting the OCYSA Referee Assignor. To protect the turf, OCYSA limits the number of weekly games played on each field.
All soccer games played at the Buckner Soccer Complex must be officiated by a USSF Certified Center Referee and two club linesmen (two USSF Certified Assistant Referees are preferred). Referees must be approved by the OCYSA Referee Assignor.
Rainout/Cancellation Policy
OCYSA reserves the right to cancel all soccer field reservations and scheduled games due to inclement weather, unsafe field conditions, or potential for severe turf damage (playing on wet, soft fields). The right of OCYSA to cancel games supersedes the authority of center referees officiating the game. OCYSA will make every attempt to announce a field closing well in advance of game time to save travel.
Portable Goal Anchoring Policy
Before beginning practices or games, all coaches and parents are required to check that all portable soccer goals are anchored and unable to tip over. If anchors are not available, the goals must not be used. Please email ocysasoccer@gmail.com if a portable goal is not anchored.
