Handyman Projects

Current List of 2009 OCYSA Handyman Projects: 

Volunteers must be briefed on the scope of each project and receive approval to proceed by OCYSA before beginning any of the projects.  Email OCYSA if you are interested in completing any of the projects.  OCYSA will reimburse for any material costs.

Repair and Maintenance

· Repair or replace ceiling fan in clubhouse women’s restroom.

· Ceiling tile replacement in clubhouse women’s restroom.

· Replace soap dispenser in clubhouse women’s restroom.  Match dispenser in men’s restroom.

· Replace main exterior entrance door and door frame to clubhouse.  Paint door and frame white.

· Replace lockset on door to clubhouse men’s restroom.

· Reinstall door closure on door to clubhouse men’s restroom.

· Repair ceiling in clubhouse men’s restroom.

· Repair siding below concession stand window.

· Replace interior door and frame to concession stand.

· Repair door to upstairs clubhouse bathroom so door locks when in use.

· Remove paint from window next to main clubhouse entrance door.

· Install mini blinds in clubhouse board room.

· Replace light bulbs in all clubhouse exterior lighting.  Will require ladder.

· Spray wash and stain clubhouse steps and deck.

· Refresh clubhouse landscaping, including area around small trees in front of clubhouse.  Work includes trimming bushes and applying new mulch.

· Paint the sign board located adjacent to clubhouse white .

· Clean and repair portable BBQ grills.

· Repair player bench sitting outside of garage door of clubhouse.

· Repair rope and pulley on flagpole near pavilion.  Ladder of lift bucket required.

· Repair roof shingles of pavilion.  Currently being reviewed by insurance carrier.

· Replace wood ballisters on pavilion railing.

· Grade parking lot to eliminate pot holes and washout areas.

· Fill pot hole at main entrance from Colonel Drive with gravel.

· Remove current landscaping from around pavilion and replace with low growing bushes.  Add mulch.

· Pull goal on south end of Field 4.  Will require tractor with lift.

· Repair or replace broken portable bleachers.

· Trim and collect any broken tree limbs.

· Repair communication board at main entrance to South Complex.  Remove and discard current plywood board.  Reset posts deeper into ground so sign will not lean.  Attach new treated plywood board and add small cap to top of posts to shield board from weather.

· Paint shed at South Complex.

· Paint goals at Nature Preserve.

 

New Projects

· Install white vinyl fence behind port-o-lets next to Field 4.   Fence to be two 6’ or 8’ sections, 6’ tall and solid.

· Add gravel pad in front of new fence.  Frame with treated lumber.
