Soccer Academy
Soccer Academy is managed by Thoroughbreds Soccer Club and is designed for U8, U9 and U10 age levels. The Academy started in 2006 and has developed into one of the finest Academy structures in the state of Kentucky. The Academy structure gives young players the opportunity to develop the ball skills and technique, which is paramount in soccer, while having fun, training in a safe environment, and enhancing their enthusiasm for the sport. It is ideal for recreational players, who have aspiration to play select soccer. Rather than having the team system, the Thoroughbreds Academy format uses ‘groups’ of players that are coached 2-3 times per week, by some our most talented coaches. On top of the training that the players receive, they also get to play in ‘4 or 5 play-dates’. The ‘play-dates’ are a means for our players to play with different players from within their ‘group’ and to incorporate the skills and techniques practiced into a game setting.
